It isn't easy staying focused when you are up to your eyeballs in snow and ice, but somehow I'm trying. We are expecting a super-sized ice storm on Tuesday night into Wednesday and I am none too pleased about it. Anyway, bad news on the running front. My psoas tendonitis and inflammation of my hip flexors has put me in injurred reserves this week. Sadly, working out on the treadmill is what I think led me to backslide.
I did manage to do my weight to calorie burning experiment on the treadmill before being pulled from the game! I will post that tomorrow since tonight I am overwhelmed with work. So how's everyone's food records going? How's the exercise? I would love to hear from you, so leave a comment about how it's all going. My posts this week will include basic foods to have stocked, what meals to eat when and how to use your diet to actually curb your appetite. Food choice DOES matter and not all calories are created equally!
Speaking of food, remember that black bean chowder I spoke of? Well I made it, and actually changed up the recipe and LOVED it. It far exceeded my expectations and I would love to share the receipe if you're interested.
I also want to post my tutorial to create this funky hat out of recycled 1960's wool pants. My Mom gave me a bag of old wool, and I just love the vintage patterns.
Anyway, I will also share my popover recipe, taken from William Sonoma. I'm in LOVE with the looks of them, but sadly they are not gluten free. The reviews were amazing, and I'm so happy with the new pan.
I am off to catch up on my Etsy orders, and process the pix for tomorrow's treadmill myth debunking! :) Gosh I must find a gluten-free popover receipe REALLY soon! xoxo

Black beach chowda, sounds warm and sunny
Popover, sounds so friendly
